The fast flowing flood can cut off the roads or even can break down the bridges, hence the traffic need to be delayed, or detouring roads are needed even in a long distance. Moreover, the prolonged flood can also disrupt the railway lines, and the railway stations can also be closed for a while waiting for the flood goes down. In other words, when the roads sink, the telephone lines can be damaged, so it is hard that people need to communicate with each other by telephone. Therefore, flood is an obstacle obstructing communication systems.

Additionally, flood can also destroy personal property when it enters and stands for a long period, so it causes more damage to people’s property, and some property or materials will be further damaged as it is wet by flood. In other words, when homes or businesses and personal property is damaged, people need to pay for repairing after the flood so that they are not only obstructed to improve businesses, but they are also, instead, caused to spend much money to make the businesses back to the day before the flood. Therefore, people’s living is increasingly poor when the flood have present in cities and countries.
Thirdly, floodwater can seriously affect people’s health and lives. When flood disrupt drainage systems and sewage spills in cities, it represents a serious health hazard that causes diseases such as fever, typhoid, and allergic reactions, and sometimes it can cause people to die. Additionally, fast flowing flood can knock people down and cause to die due to drowning. Moreover, people cannot find healthy foods for eating when flooding, and it will cause them to be ill. So, while and after flooding, floodwater can affect people’s health and lives.
Finally, flood can seriously affect country’s economy. The large amounts of fast flowing flood eroding agricultural lands, destroying crops, and drowning farm animals can lead the economy to price increase cause of the food shortage. Moreover, when flood is present in cities or countries, it will temporarily decrease the amounts of tourists that lead to less income for the country. In other words, when flood destroyed the infrastructure, agricultural lands, and others structure, the government has to rebuild it all to develop the country and it costs millions of dollars. Thus, the country’s economy will go down when flood damages the cities or countries.
In conclusion, the bad effect of flood is obstructing the communication systems, affecting people’s living, affecting people’s health and lives, and affecting country’s economy. As we have discussed the bad effect of flood, we should carefully prepare ourselves, our homes and businesses, our property, or even our cities and countries for the next flood if we stay in the flood way.
